Who runs this site
cysticacnetreatment.org is run by Artha Capital (Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 97349860), Haarlemmerweg 888, 1014 BL Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Artha Capital decides what happens to the data on this page. Questions go to privacy@cysticacnetreatment.org.
What we record
- Visit statistics. The page you open, the site you came from, how far you scroll, how long the tab is active, the links and buttons you click, and basic facts about your browser and screen (size, language, time zone).
- The treatment chooser. Your answers only change the page in your own browser. They are not sent to us, except that the button after a result tells acne.today which answer you picked (see below).
- Hosting logs. Our host keeps IP addresses, browser type and requested addresses to protect and run the site.
How the statistics work
Your browser sends visit statistics to our own address, /api/trace. From there they go to an analytics provider (EU) and are stored in its European data center. Your IP address is passed along so the provider can estimate country and city. A random visit number sits in your tab's session storage so the pages of one visit belong together; it disappears when you close the tab. No cookies are used for this. Visitors in the European Union are only counted after they say yes in the notice on the page.
Leaving for acne.today
"Start my analysis" and similar buttons pass through cysticacnetreatment.org/assess and then open acne.today, a separate paid service. The address shows acne.today that you came from this site, which button you used and, after the chooser, which answer you picked. Anything you do on acne.today, such as uploading a photo or paying, is covered by acne.today's own privacy policy.
Why we may do this
- Statistics for visitors in the EU: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with "Statistics choice" at the bottom of every page.
- Statistics for other visitors, security and keeping the site running: our legitimate interest.
- Replying to your email: the steps you asked us to take.

How long we keep things
Hosting logs: up to 90 days. Email: as long as your question needs, and no longer than two years.
Who else sees data
Only the analytics provider and our host, and only what they need. We never sell data.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete, limit or take your data with you, and you can object. Email privacy@cysticacnetreatment.org and we answer within four weeks. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your country.
Updates
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
